5 Foods That Are Good For Your Liver

I previously did a post loaded with information on 5 types of food that are considered harmful to your liver, so it's only right that his time around I write about the other side, 5 type of foods that are considered helpful to your liver.

The liver is a very important internal organ that everyone should know as much as they can about, well that and all of your body's internal organs. With the mindset of giving the people a lot of information on the body maybe with that newly added knowledge people will value and respect themselves more and all-in-all take better care of themselves (maybe even by using our awesome products). But with no further delay check out these 5 types of foods that are helpful to your liver.

(1) Coffee

Studies have shown that a morning cup of coffee actually provides your liver with several health benefits. With study results showing that two cups of coffee a day can actually lower your chances of getting Liver Disease by 44%. Plus coffee decreases inflammation and increases levels of the antioxidant glutathione, which in time stops harmful free radicals from destroying any cells. So although your teeth may not like it but coffee can actually be good for you.

(2) Nuts

Nuts are kind of like a hit or miss depending on how many you actually consume but regardless nuts are high in fats and nutrients (packed full of antioxidant vitamin E). I say hit or miss because studies have shown that a high intake of nuts improves the liver enzyme but on the flip side those who have a low intake of nuts have a higher risk of developing fatty liver disease. So as wild as it may sound, eat more nuts!

(3) Tea

A Japanese study found that drinking 5-10 cups of green tea per day actually improved blood markers of the liver. Now most places don't drink as much green tea as the good folks over in Japan do but it really wouldn't hurt to try. On a less massive daily scale another study showed an intake of daily green tea over a 12 week span also improved liver enzyme levels plus reduced oxidative stress and fat deposits in the liver.

(4) Avocado

I can't even be mad at the world having an avocado addiction nowadays just because (if you didn't know already) avocado are actually very good for you and your liver. The super fruit known as Avocado contains an antioxidant called glutathione which gets rid of any harmful substances and it also protects the liver cells from being damaged.

(5)Grapefruit 

Grapefruit is super protection from the unwanted complication known ad fatty liver disease. With high levels of vitamin C and antioxidant when working together the two flushes out toxins and prevents the liver cells from being damaged.

A great way to start your day, with your liver in mind, would be a cup of coffee/tea with some nuts, avocado and grapefruit on the side. Your body will thank you in the long run!
